I appreciate all the resources and reading for this week. This helps with creating a blog. Blogging is important when posting information on the website. I feel that we need to monitor our students when accessing the internet. Some information may not be appropriate for them.
I do believe that the use of the internet can be both good and bad, and the importance of monitoring both our children and students is essential. As a parent, I try my best to monitor my children's social media. I try to at least let them know of my expectations on what they are viewing and what they are posting. I just only hope that my children listen and understand where I am coming from.
I am also glad that Dr. Rivera shared the other blogs from the past classes. This gives us an idea of what is expected in our class blog assignment. I enjoyed seeing them again.

Si Yu'os Ma'ase', Jackie, for your thoughtful reflection. You raise an important point about the need to guide and monitor students' online activities, as digital citizenship and internet safety are essential skills in today's technology-rich learning environments. I am pleased that the sample blogs from previous classes provided a helpful reference, and I look forward to seeing how you incorporate your own creativity and ideas into the class blog project.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Jackie about children/students using online research because sometimes, they open links that are not relevant to the assignment. The need to monitor them is important. Yes, the references on the blogs provided are ideas for me to work on the class blog project.
ReplyDeleteI also appreciate Dr. Rivera sharing previous class blogs with us. This whole class and the use of blogs has really sparked something in me. She has me wanting to create a class blog for my students now! LOL
